It would seem that once again, the flamingoes are flying and have invaded our area in particularly large numbers.  If these plastic pests should invade your home, please contact the Hickory Bend UMYF Flamingo removal service.  We will remove these unsightly pests from your yard for a minimal fee.  For our particularly environmentally conscious customers, we will remove them to the ecosystem of your choice for $10 extra dollars.  If you have Flamingo Insurance through Club 52, we will remove them for free.

When we had a giving campaign years ago, I remember Shari and Jim describing how they created their budget, and the first thing they paid was their tithe to the church.  That made an impression on me, and I began making the same habit.  Now that I do most of my banking online, it’s even easier!  I can give my minimum amount to the general budget regularly each month automatically.  It is the easist and most rewarding way to give.  When I can give more, I can write a check, but I always know that the base giving is taken care of before I worry about bills and other obligations.  I never worry about being on vacation or missing what I pledge for any reason.  The credit union does it for me!  I highly recommend electronic giving!  It flies through the air!

Thank you for your generosity!  We cannot express how much we appreciate your endless ability to enjoy our potatoes.  We are hoping to send thirteen youth to Mountain T.O.P. this year along with two or three chaperons.  This is the largest group we have ever sent on a mission trip, and therefore the most money we have needed to raise.  We thank you for this amazing support.  Please enjoy our potatoes!

Hickory Bend will be welcoming more homeless guests to Room In The Inn this season.  Our first evening is November 26th, the day after Thanksgiving.

We will need many of you to volunteer again, and we would love to have new volunteers!  Will you join us for any of these duties?
