Some of you asked me to let you know if I didn’t have everything we needed by today.

It’s all covered–even the 10,000 deviled eggs!

Thanks so much for your help.  See ya Friday.

The list for the Christmas Eve lunch menu is very lean, and I’m more than a little concerned.
We still need:
one more potato salad
four desserts
two packages of rolls
about ten thousand deviled eggs  (I kid you not!  Those folks love them!)
We also need somebody to volunteer to clean up after the meal on Christmas Eve.  Joan will be at Room in the Inn and I’ll be hosting my family here, so this is the first time we’ve not been able to handle this.  Can you help?
Does anybody have any idea where the big serving platters are that we used at Thanksgiving?  I can only locate one.  There was also a basket with utensils and napkins that I can’t find.  Please let me know if you know where they are.  I looked in the youth room today but they weren’t there.
I hope you’ll find time to drop me a line this week to let me know if you can bring something.  Thank you in advance for all your help with this ministry.  I know the rest of this week is going to be as hectic for you as it is for me, but I’d like to have all these ducks in a row before Friday, if I can.
Blessings.

The term “comfort food” (first used, according to Webster’s Dictionary, in 1977) refers to foods consumed to achieve some level of improved emotional status, whether to relieve negative psychological affect or to increase positive. More generally, comfort food can be defined as food that brings some form or measure of comfort, sense of well being, or easy satisfaction.

18 days till Christmas!!!!  However…..the HBUMC Christmas party will be Wednesday night, Dec. 15th!  The theme for dinner that evening will be “finger foods.”  We are also planning to have enough cookies for kids young and old to decorate that night.  There is also a rumor that a special guest in a red suit will be in attendance.  So save the date, and bake a few cookies and we’ll see you there!
