Hickory Bend Blanket Brigade will meet on March 27th at 9AM. We hope you will join us.
Our crafty ladies have been hard at work since the inception of the Blanket Brigade 2 years ago. Collectively the group has provided over 60 lap blankets to the patients at Alive Hospice. While we work independently year around it is during the cold winter months when the lion’s share of the work gets done. We have some in the group that do the majority of the work and it can become costly to provide all the supplies on top of their time involved in making the blanket.

Please join us for our last Room in the Inn for the season. Come and see what innkeepers do. We would love to have a cadre of innkeepers trained for Room in the Inn next year. Do you have a couple of hours to come visit and see what we do? Come to Andrew Price UMC any time after 5:30 Friday night, March 26. Bring your children or your friends. Bring anyone who would like to see what happens when you offer hospitality to those most precious to our Lord. You will be amazed. You might not find a new career, but the benefits are out of this world!

The 2010 HBUMC Worship team met for the first time this year and hit the road running! Did you realize that Wed. Feb. 17th is Ash Wednesday? Please join us on the 17th for an evening service at 6:00 pm. Communion and the Imposition of the Ashes will be a meaningful part of the service that evening. This will kick off the season of Lent, which also means there are only 40 days until Easter! The Worship team has begun planning for services for Holy Week and Easter Sunday. The team is excited about our plans for Worship this year with special music from the band, the bell choir, small groups, and of course, the adult, youth and children’s choirs. Computer based projected presentations, a few praise songs, and services held outside at the shelter are just a few of the plans the team is working on. We are always open to suggestions and ideas from the congregation, so jot them down and hand them to a worship team member to be included on the next meeting agenda.
