This Sunday, Aug. 30, we will have a very special guest speaker. Be sure to get to church early and get your favorite seat!
There will be no worship meeting in September, so be sure to go get your hair cut that night so you will be ready to have your picture made on the 15th for the new Church Directory.
September will be a busy month with Labor Day, Grandparents Day, Council Meetings, Wed. night meals returning, and another try at a service under the shelter later in the month.
See you at church!

Keep an eye on our Youth Sunday School Room! We are working on a whole new look. We gained a whole new understanding of Noah during the Great Flood of Hickory Bend. Now that the waters have dried, we want a space worthy of Mount Ararat! Many thanks to the Trustees for their support and expertise.
We are working on adding seating and storage, as well as cool style and space for work and fun! Come on in! Join us! Please tell all the youth you know to come see what is going on at Hickory Bend UMYF. We never know what will happen next!

Summer is almost over. School starts for some of our children July 28th! Others will begin the first week of August, and by the second week of August, they will all be back to school. Can you believe it? There are now only 18 Sundays until Advent begins!
The worship team has a lot of planning to do in the next few weeks and so our next meeting is scheduled for Aug. 5 at 5:30 pm. The agenda is being put together, so if you have anything you would like to add to the meeting agenda, please let me know ASAP.
